The feature film Mountain Blood tells the story of  the young Bavarian Katharina Heimstedt in the year 1809. Following her husband to Tyrol, she has to face the life on a farm in the Tyrolean mountains, experiencing the cruelty of the war of independence led by Andreas Hofer against Bavaria and France.

Principal photography took place on oiginal historical sites in Augsburg (Bavaria) and the Val Passiria (Southern Tyrol). The movie is produced in cooperation with Bayerischer Rundfunk, the University of Television and Film Munich and funded with the support of FFF Bayern and the Government of Southern Tyrol. Mountain Blood reveives its World Premier in Bolzano on April 16th 2010. Afterwards the movie is released in theatres throughout South Tyrol. The German Premier will take place at the Filmfest Munich in summer 2010. "Mountain Blood" will be released in theatres throughout Austria in december 2010.
